Read-Aloud Revolution: Sparking Lifelong Readers One Story at a Time

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

Read-alouds are more than a cozy library tradition—they are one of the most powerful instructional strategies available to school librarians. In this session, participants will explore the research behind effective read-alouds, learn how to create engaging and purposeful read-aloud experiences, and discover how one simple story can spark literacy, creativity, inquiry, and project-based learning. Using If You Give a Mouse a Cookie as a model text, librarians will leave with ready-to-use strategies that can be adapted for any elementary grade level.
