Project SMART 2027 for NEW Instructors

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

Project SMART: Making Mathematics Meaningful is a Texas summer math migrant program created as part of the Texas Education Agency’s MEP Capacity Building & Curriculum Initiative. The overarching goal of the program is to improve the math skills of migratory students. This virtual training is only open to instructors selected to teach the current-year Project SMART Program for their district. Participants will gain an understanding of the Project SMART curriculum and how to implement it in a center- or home-based setting. All Project SMART instructors must complete this training in order to gain access to the curriculum and materials for the current program year. This training will take place in the form of asynchronous course modules to be completed before a live Zoom session. Participants must join using a desktop computer, laptop or Chromebook. Active participation in various forms will be required in order to obtain course credit. This includes responding in the Project SMART Participant Workbook and completing required quizzes during the asynchronous course modules.
