From ARD to Graduation: Navigating Graduation Requirements for Students Receiving Special Education Services

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

Ensuring students receiving special education services graduate with meaningful opportunities for their future begins with informed ARD committee decisions. This interactive professional learning session will provide educators with a comprehensive understanding of Texas graduation requirements, diploma pathways, and the critical role of the ARD committee in aligning graduation planning with each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP).

Participants will explore graduation options, required documentation, transition planning, and key considerations for making student-centered decisions that support CCMR outcomes, postsecondary education, employment, military service, and independent living. Through practical scenarios and real-world examples, attendees will strengthen their knowledge of compliance requirements while learning strategies to ensure graduation decisions are individualized, legally sound, and focused on positive postsecondary outcomes for students.
