The PREP Residency Field Supervision Workshop is a full-day professional learning experience designed to prepare residency field supervisors for a successful launch of the school year. Participants will develop the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to provide consistent, high-quality support to teacher residents while ensuring fidelity to PREP Residency program expectations.

Throughout the workshop, field supervisors will engage in hands-on learning focused on conducting formal Performance Gate and informal observations, facilitating effective site coordinator meetings, delivering meaningful coaching and feedback, and implementing communication and documentation systems. Participants will also become familiar with residency timelines, digital resources, and organizational processes that support efficient field supervision.

The workshop includes opportunities to practice key responsibilities through collaborative activities, observation calibration, meeting rehearsals, and dedicated work time to review campus assignments, prepare introductory communications, and plan for the first weeks of residency. By the end of the session, field supervisors will leave equipped with the confidence, resources, and action plan needed to support teacher residents, mentor teachers, and campus partners throughout the residency year.
