From Evaluation to IEP: Strengthening Educational Planning for Deaf/DB Learners

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

This interactive professional development workshop focuses on strengthening the connection between comprehensive evaluation data and meaningful educational programming for Deaf and Hard of Hearing and Deafblind learners. Participants will examine how robust DHH evaluations and communication assessment data can inform PLAAFPs, measurable annual goals, impact statements, LRE decisions, and individualized services that target students receiving itinerant support.

Through pragmatic examples, case-based activities, and collaborative discussion, participants will explore ways to move from evaluation findings to clear, defensible, student-centered IEP decisions. Emphasis will be placed on the unique educational considerations of DHH and Deafblind students and on practical strategies for planning, delivering, and documenting effective itinerant services.
