Supporting Mental Health: My Autism Journey In School And What It Teaches Us About Our Students

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

Dr. Kerry Magro will use his lived experience growing up autistic in the school system to help school psychologists, licensed specialists in school psychology, counselors, mental health professionals, educators, and other school-based professionals better understand the mental health needs of autistic and neurodivergent students. Kerry was diagnosed with autism at age 4 and was non-speaking as a young child. Drawing from his experiences with anxiety, sensory challenges, communication differences, bullying, self-advocacy, therapies, and navigating school, he will connect his personal journey to practical strategies professionals can use with the students they support today.
