Securing the Lone Star State: Leveraging Threat Intelligence and Incident Response in the Public Sector

As malicious foreign cyber actors, ransomware syndicates, and nation-state threats increasingly target public sector entities and critical infrastructure, defending government networks requires a coordinated, intelligence-led approach. This session explores how Texas is transforming its cybersecurity posture through the establishment and operation of the Texas Cyber Command (TXCC). Attendees will examine the current threat landscape facing the state—grounded in recent data such as tens of thousands of daily blocked network events, widespread data breaches, and active ransomware campaigns.
