District Asbestos Designated Person Training

TASB Certification training for the Designated Asbestos Person at school district addresses areas defined in the AHERA regulations for those responsible for the school’s asbestos program. Topics covered include asbestos detection, identification, and assessment; health effects associated with asbestos exposure; control options; relevant federal and state regulations; and management plan components. This class satisfies the training requirement put forth in AHERA for Asbestos Designated Person training. Although there are no refresher requirements, it is a good idea to come back to this class every few years to keep relevant asbestos issues and requirements fresh on your mind.
