Engineering Inventions and Innovations

This full-day training is an introduction to the Engineering Design Process. Project examples will feature aquatic applications of STEM concepts with steam powered putt-putt boats, robotic plant waterers, and robotic paddle boats. The Mindstorms robotics NXT system will be used to engineer programmable robots for aquatic exploration. Featuring a project-based approach, the session will be grounded to authentic inquiry, questioning, problem-solving, and purposeful critical thinking.
