Conflict Resolution For School Professionals (Laredo Area)

This one day program makes use of the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Indicator as a springboard for awareness of personal conflict styles and alternatives emphasizing best practices for response in potential conflict scenarios. Emphasis is also placed on diplomacy and effective communication skills, common communication pitfalls of school professionals, principled negotiation and the exploration of underlying interests and specfic techniques for conflict prevention and resolution. This training will be conducted by Nicolas Martin, MA. Mr. Martin is the founder of the nonprofit Center for Accord, near Dallas. He is a conflict resolution specialist who provided training to thousands of IEP team participants nationwide. Nick's emphasis is always on making the complex simple and offering practical skills for making a positive difference.
