PBIS is a school-wide system designed to - prevent chronic behavioral issues, provide early intervention for minor but repeated problem behaviors, and provide proactive supports for at-risk students. It is an evidence-based framework that relies on data to align appropriate resources to meet student needs. We will discuss the conceptual framework of PBIS and considerations for quality and sustainable implementation. The learner will engage in activities that support the completion of a baseline Benchmarks of Quality (BoQ) assessment for implementation of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) at the school-wide level. This training will focus on exemplar practices for creating sustainable multi-tiered systems of support at the campus level.

This is an event of the Texas Behavior Support Network. Participants must be present all three days to receive credit. This training will be live-streamed from Region 4 ESC to each service center throughout the state. Region 1 ESC staff will facilitate session activities.
