Workload Analysis for Certified Orientation and Mobility Instructors
Do you feel that you have enough time in your regular hours to meet your expected workload?
Do you feel that you have enough time in your regular work week to give the students on your caseload all the time, including direct service, consultation, and lesson preparation, that they need? Do you find that you make service delivery recommendations based on your available time rather than the actual student need? This training is all about helping you define your current workload in a way that makes sense to your administrators, and in a way that gives them the tools they need to take action on recommending hiring another COMS if necessary. We will look at tools such as Orientation and Mobility Visual Impairment Scale of Service Intensity of Texas (OM-VISSIT), the Administrators Toolbox from TSBVI, and more.
