2022 Prekindergarten Guidelines / PK4
Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.
Let’s dive into the state’s 2022 Prekindergarten Guidelines for Pre-K 4!
This session will focus on how the 2022 Prekindergarten Guidelines and expectations of play, exploration, discovery, and problem-solving are aligned to learning outcomes.
Participants will engage in hands-on examination of the 10 domains, skills, outcomes, and child behaviors, and watch select “real time” teaching video snippets provided by the Children’s Learning Institute. Discussions will synthesize how the guidelines are to be used as a resource to inform decisions that pertain to curriculum and instruction. We will also examine how child progress monitoring informs planning and developing classroom instruction for high-quality learning experiences.
This session will also highlight four big changes which are multilingual inclusive practices, vertical alignment to Kinder TEKS, improved clarity, and the NEW added domain, “Emergent Literacy: Language & Communication.”
All Pre-K 4 teachers are encouraged to join!
