In Leverage Leadership 2.0, Paul Bambrick-Santoyo says that planning is a leadership lever that can help in every sort of school, from the lowest performing to the highest. Focusing on lesson alignment ensures there is a shared understanding around what makes for quality instructional planning, and is a natural extension of data-driven instruction: teach students what they need, not what they already know. Strong plans link together all of a student’s learning to make it rigorous, meaningful, and memorable. TIL Lesson Alignment is based on the work of Paul Bambrick-Santoyo in Leverage Leadership 2.0 and trains leaders to guide their teachers in ensuring effective daily lesson alignment to standards and to assessments in ways that will drive student learning, as well as how to monitor that planning to see which parts are working and which aren’t, and how to coach teachers to master the skills they need to make their planning consistently effective. In Leverage Leadership 2.0, Paul Bambrick-Santoyo says that lesson plans are meaningless until we define how we’ll assess the student learning. In that case, a core piece of ensuring high quality planning is locking in effective daily and weekly formative assessments. Too often, curriculum plans and assessment writers are totally separate. This is a common pitfall in planning for effective instruction, and it can limit effectiveness of even the most well written curriculum. Without clarity on and alignment to the rigor of the assessment, you risk every teacher interpreting the rigor of the curriculum differently. TIL Formative Assessment is based on the work of Paul Bambrick-Santoyo in Leverage Leadership 2.0 and trains leaders to guide their teachers in crafting rigorous and aligned daily and weekly assessments that will support analysis of student mastery and gaps. It also trains leaders to coach their teachers to master the skills of assessment writing and analysis to ensure their continuous improvement in designing formative assessments.

The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) will host in-person workshops for school districts that utilize a Food Services Management Company (FSMC). The training workshop will provide an in-depth overview of the contract management process, including solicitations and/or renewals, contract management, and contract monitoring. Attending this workshop is critical for the SFA representatives and those responsible for contract oversight. Each district is required to send one representative. In the afternoon, TDA will have staff resources available to assist districts individually with the development of RFP documents for the 2026-2027 school term and to address any specific concerns and questions. To receive the best guidance and assistance, you can bring and/or be able to access your current contract, meal count data, revenue for the Child Nutrition fund, specialized specifications (if applicable), and any other provisions that you would like incorporated into your solicitation documents. Because procurement requirements will be discussed, food service management companies are not allowed to register or attend.

Spend a day with us learning all about the Math RBIS! What are RBIS? A set of research-based practices that highlight common misconceptions in the field. Topics that require conceptual or philosophical changes in approach to instruction. A set of practices that are supported by research and should be present in classrooms, regardless of instructional materials. A set of practices that relate directly to the design of instructional materials AND/OR the approach required to implement them well. The essential best practices in mathematics instruction are content specific practices that are supported by research and should be present in classrooms regardless of instructional materials. This dramatic shift means understanding and supporting students on the spectrum is more crucial than ever. In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn practical strategies to connect with and appreciate the unique abilities and learning styles of students with ASD. I'll share effective approaches that have consistently led to success across all grade levels, drawing from my extensive experience. This training is perfect for all educators—general and special education teachers alike—who want to boost their skills and confidence in supporting students with ASD. Join me to discover new strategies and create pathways to success for your students. Get ready to learn, engage, and be inspired!

In mathematics, there are four RBIS that have been identified. Research shows that these four strategies are effective for all learners. This is the foundation of strong instruction.

This pathway establishes the need for student mental health support and introduces four components for promoting mental health and well-being that can be integrated within MTSS. Participants learn the current context of student mental health, the relationship between student mental health and successful student outcomes, and important elements for supporting mental health for all students, staff members, and caregivers. “Social and personal competencies” refers to the ways that students and adults learn to manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions. In this pathway, participants gain a better understanding of how teaching and developing social and personal competencies can improve the learning environment in schools and improve outcomes for all students. Participants also examine how to implement social and personal competencies within MTSS. Online workshop.

**This session is specifially dedicated to those campuses/districts identified with School Improvement.** Spend a day with us learning all about the RLA RBIS! The essential best practices in reading language arts instruction are content specific practices that are supported by research and should be present in classrooms regardless of instructional materials. In RLA, there are four RBIS that have been identified. Research shows that these four strategies are effective for all learners. This is the foundation of strong instruction. Join us for this FREE workshop to learn more about these four RBIS!
