(Virtual) McKinney Vento - Supporting Students Experiencing Homelessness through Trauma-Informed Practices

(PLEASE NOTE: This is a virtual session conducted via Zoom.) This interactive session equips educators and staff with tools to recognize and respond to trauma in students experiencing homelessness. Participants will learn to identify age-specific signs of trauma, understand its impact on behavior and learning, and distinguish between trauma responses and common misdiagnoses. Using real-life case studies, attendees will explore trauma-informed strategies that create safe, supportive learning environments for highly mobile and vulnerable youth.
