TSDS Core Collection Child Find

Child Find is a federal mandate under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). It requires local education agencies (LEAs), which include public school districts and charter schools, to identify, locate, and evaluate all children with disabilities residing within their jurisdictions who need special education and related services. (34 CFR §300.111—Child Find)The TSDS Child Find Collection combines two State Performance Plan Indicators (SPPI); SPPI-11: Timely Evaluation and SPPI-12: Early Childhood Transition.
This workshopis a collaboration between the PEIMS and Special Education Department Specialists. In addition,we will cover the TSDS data elements and code tables required to report the data to TEA. This will not be a software specific workshop, however we will cover some areas to ensure accurate data.
Note* This workshop will be free of charge to our TSDS Co-op members within Region 2. Those outside Region 2 or not a member of TSDS Co-op will be charged $50.00 per participant to attend.
