Inquiry & Rigor in the 6-12 Social Studies Classroom (6hr GT Update)

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

In this workshop attendees will be introduced to the C3 Framework for College, Career and Civic Life. Like a number of other initiatives, the C3 Framework calls upon social studies teachers to reexamine their instructional practices to enhance the rigor of the social studies disciplines and build critical thinking, problem solving, and participatory skills of students to become engaged citizens. Our goal in this workshop is to introduce teachers to the C3 Framework by providing background information including the rationale, the process for development, the organization, the goals and objectives, the guiding principles and the instructional shifts that come with creating a classroom of inquiry and rigor. We hope to see you there!
