Join us for this FREE workshop opportunity to discover what reading experts have determined what students need in order to learn to read and how they best learn. Participants will learn and engage in research-based instructional strategies for reading foundational skills. When thinking about all of the different aspects of skillful reading, there are four main essential best practices that TEA has presented to help students develop a deep understanding of literacy. These components are: foundational skills, complex texts, knowledge coherence, and evidence-based responses. Participants will understand the alignment between the RBIS and the STAAR redesign which will help strengthen literacy instruction for all student populations across the region.
