"I Can Show You The World..." Using Maps, Charts & Graphs in the Social Studies & ELAR Classrooms

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

From "Understanding the concept of location" in Kindergarten to "Evaluating government data using charts, tables, graphs, and maps" in Government, we must realize and recognize that Maps, Charts and Graphs are important in every Social Studies Classroom. From simply supporting the Social Studies Skills and Processing Standards to supporting students in the STAAR 2.0, teaching students hands on lessons is important in our pedagogy. From Social Studies to ELAR Amplify, we are here to support geographic education in all subjects. Powered by Nystrom Maps, we will be engaging in hands on activities and learning how to create a classroom environment powered by inquiry through mapping activities. This session will include FREE LUNCH through a Lunch & Learn provided by the Social Studies School Service.
