Unlocking CTE Success: Language Strategies for Emergent Bilingual Students

This session will focus on research-based instructional approaches and practical strategies that address the unique learning needs of emergent bilingual students in CTE classrooms. Topics will include: Understanding the assets and experiences of emergent bilingual learners; Designing lessons with scaffolding and differentiation to access CTE content; Incorporating students' home languages and cultural knowledge; Fostering language development through hands-on CTE activities. Note: This session is designed to support Career and Technical Education (CTE) subpopulations and emergent bilingual students in alignment with Perkins v requirements and Methods of Administration (MOA).
