Understanding the Redesigned EOC STAAR Exam

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

This training is designed to assist teachers with understanding the specific reading and writing needs of the ELAR EOC state assessment. We will clarify the definition of a successful short and extended constructed response by reviewing the state assessment writing rubric. Moreover, we will outline the reading skills and stamina needed to demonstrate competency on the exam. Finally, the training will suggest strategies and activities to support quality reading and writing in the classroom while allowing teachers to create a planning calendar leading up to the state assessment in April. This is a great workshop for teachers looking for new approaches to the exam.
