Youth Mental Health First Aid Training teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among children and adolescents. Training is full day. Includes a workbook, role-play, and interaction with participants utilizing the ALGEE Mental Health First Aid action plan to help children and youth with mental health challenges.

House Bill 3 - A school district shall require each district employee who regularly interacts with students enrolled at the district to complete an evidence-based mental health first aid training program designed to provide instruction to participants regarding the recognition and support of children and youth who experience a mental health or substance use issue that may pose a threat to school safety.

Coordinated by ESC 2 with partnership with Nueces Center for Mental Health and Intellectual Disabilities, Coastal Plains Integrated Health, and Camino Real Community Services . No fee ($0) for this workshop. Upon completion, you receive a certificate valid for 3 years from the date of this workshop.
