Introduction to the Texas Education Code

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

A must for newly elected or appointed board members. This three-hour training is required for all newly elected or appointed board members within the first 120 days of election or appointment. The training addresses the duties and responsibilities of board members and how they differ from those of the superintendent. The Texas Education Code (TEC) is a comprehensive set of state statutes and laws governing Texas public education, including K-12, school districts, and higher education, setting standards for curriculum, funding, and teacher certification.
