School Improvement Summer Leadership Series Building Principals Who Drive Student Outcomes. Day 1: From Surviving to Leading: The Principal Reset

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

This three part professional learning series led by Miguel Castillo, transformative educational leader, is designed to equip principals with the practices that research consistently links to measurable gains in student achievement.

The series draws on years of experience, widely recognized leadership research and frameworks, including concepts found in Paul Bambrick-Santoyo’s Leverage Leadership 2.0 and the Effective Schools Framework (ESF), as reference points for strengthening instructional leadership. These frameworks emphasize key leadership practices such as data-driven instruction, observation and feedback, instructional planning, professional development, student culture, staff culture, and leadership team development.

Moving beyond theory alone, this series focuses on bridging research into practical implementation through training, best practices happening at the school level, and actionable steps that principals can immediately apply on their campuses. Grounded in evidence-based principles, participants will engage in practical, high-impact strategies that strengthen instructional systems.
