Level Up Learning: From Gaming Skills to Esports Pathways

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

What if the skills students develop while gaming could become a powerful tool for learning, engagement, and future opportunities? This session explores the educational potential of gaming and esports. It will dive into the research behind the 21st-century skills developed through gameplay to practical applications in today’s schools.
Participants will examine how gaming can support critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, communication, collaboration, and digital citizenship, explore gamification strategies for the classroom, and see how MinecraftEdu can be used to create meaningful learning experiences. The session will then move beyond the classroom to explore the growing opportunities in high school esports, college programs, scholarships, and career pathways.
