This half-day workshop is designed for district and campus leaders who are involved in testing and accountability processes. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the State and Federal accountability systems, including key components and reporting requirements throughout the year. During the workshop, attendees will: - Break down the timeline for accountability in Texas education - Explain the State and Federal accountability systems - Identify important parts of each system relevant to their campus or district - Understand reporting requirements and deadlines - Discuss strategies for effectively managing accountability processes By the end of this workshop, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate the complexities of accountability and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Join us for a half-day workshop designed for educators, administrators, and district staff to gain a thorough understanding of the Individual Graduation Committees (IGC) as outlined in TEC §28.0258. Participants will learn about the criteria for students who have failed the end-of-course (EOC) assessment graduation requirements for no more than two courses and how they can still qualify to graduate with an IGC determination. The workshop will cover: - Overview of TEC §28.0258 - Step-by-step process for establishing and managing IGCs - Best practices for supporting students through the IGC process - Recent updates and changes to the IGC requirements By the end of this workshop, attendees will be equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to effectively support students in meeting graduation requirements through the IGC pathway.
