The Region 7 PLC Collaborative will allow district and campus teams to work with a cohort of other schools while learning and applying practices consistent with working as a professional learning community. Participants will be provided hands-on coaching from leaders experienced in implementing PLC practices proven to increase student achievement. Teams will 1) Develop an understanding of the work of a professional learning community and the specific strategies districts and campuses use to increase student achievement dramatically. 2) Learn and work together while creating an action plan for their school. 3) Have opportunities for cross-collaboration between districts and campuses. Each member of your team of participants should register. Example teams include members such as Asst. Superintendent, Principal, Asst. Principal, lead teachers, and support teachers. We suggest teams of 6 to 8 individuals. Upon registering for Days 1-2, you will be automatically registered for Days 3-4 and 5. Participants are required to attend all five days to receive credit.

The Region 7 Five Day PLC Collaborative allows district and campus teams to learn and apply practices consistent with a high-functioning professional learning community. Participants from schools of all sizes will be provided hands-on coaching from leaders experienced in implementing PLC practices proven to increase student- achievement. Teams will leave each session with action plans that they can begin immediately. Topics Addressed Include the following: Creating a culture of collective responsibility, Using formative student data to respond proactively and close gaps in learning, Identifying and Using Essential Academic Standards and Learning Targets, Collaborative practices for schools of all sizes, The first steps, protocols, and action plans needed to ensure high levels of learning for all students. Each member of your team of participants should register. Participants must attend all five days to receive credit. Example teams include members such as: Asst. Superintendent, Principal, Asst. Principal, Lead Teachers, and Support Teachers. We suggest teams of 6 to 8 individuals.
