The state has given us a required ELAR curriculum. What are the strands in the TEKS? How are reading & writing connected to every TEKS? In order to teach the TEKS, you need to know the TEKS. Can you to tell if materials are aligned, can you tell if the materials include all of the parts of a specific TEKS, and can you determine if the materials and activities cover the TEKS to the rigor and depth required by the TEKS?
