Special Education and Discipline: What does the law say? What do I need to do when special education students misbehave? Join Cynthia Buechler from Buechler & Associates, P.C., as she shares insights and guidance for addressing discipline issues with special education students. She will discuss Disciplinary Placements to ISS, OSS, and DAEP including expulsions, manifestation determination (MDR), functional behavior assessments (FBA), and behavior intervention plans (BIPS). She will also discuss optional flexible school day programs, truancy, and the LEAs' actions and responsibilities.
