This training will cover the Quality and Rigor PLAAFPS and Goals Rubric from TXCAN and TEA. IDEA requires that alternate achievement standards be linked vertically to grade-level academic content using prerequisite skills to promote access to the general curriculum for students with moderate and severe intellectual disabilities. Participants will learn strategies to adapt grade-level Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for students with moderate and severe disabilities, resulting in legal, attainable, and meaningful student goals.
