8th US History: Starting with Success

Come examine the U.S. History units of "Colonial America" and "American Independence" We will begin by breaking down related TEKS and building an understanding of how the STAAR assesses this content. This TWO-DAY workshop includes discussions about the pacing needed to cover material, key understandings, historic data, and where learning gaps typically occur. We will also spend time exploring hands-on, student-centered lessons, and learn strategies to prepare students for success on STAAR.
