Evidenced-Based Practices for Instructional Decisions 20-21

Schools have an increased emphasis on the use of rigorous evidence-based research in guiding instructional decisions. The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) holds all educational stakeholders accountable to explore and select interventions designed to support school improvement and improve outcomes for students. There isn't a "one size fits all" program perfectly designed to meet the need of every student. How can we embrace the power of evidence-based research on behalf of the students we serve? This workshop will review inclusion practices, differentiation, removing barriers through Universal Design Learning (UDL), multi-tiered frameworks for interventions and supports, accommodating students with disabilities, collaboration, documentation, and much more. This workshop is for Gilmer ISD staff.
