Independent Contractors and the IRS

When it comes to the difference between employees and independent contractors, what you do & don't know CAN impact you! In recent years, school districts have been audited by the IRS. If the IRS determines that a district has misclassified an employee as an independent contractor, the district can owe a tremendous amount in employment taxes. Join attorney, Shellie Crow, as she reviews the guidelines for determining status as an independent contractor and the issues that may arise during transition from employee to contractor.
Attendees will be able to participate in this webinar in their district via the Zoom link provided in the registration confirmation email.
