How Can You Teach Math Focal Points Using Finances? Grades 6-8

Our Process Standards require us to bring the real world into the classroom. What better way to do that than with MONEY! Susan Doty, Director of the Center for Economic & Financial Literacy from the University of Texas at Tyler, will present new information and resources addressing the math focal points per grade level. Making real-world connections for your students through money is always a successful strategy with students. Teachers will receive student-centered activities that can be used to empower students to understand math concepts and make informed responsible choices as consumers and savers.
