Interpreting Score Reports and Case Studies (Integrating Data/Pattern seeking) 21-22

When establishing a pattern of strengths and weaknesses within C-SEP, it is vital that norm-referenced test results be interpreted using the test publisher norms and be integrated with other forms of data. When establishing whether performance on the tests indicates either a strength or a weakness, it is important that the evaluator is guided by the examiner’s manual and the information is interpreted through multiple lenses. In the morning, we will discuss scores, critical values, base rates, intraindividual differences, interindividual differences, and other key information included within the score reports. Score reports from key cognitive and achievement tests will be reviewed. In the afternoon, we will provide participants with the opportunity to apply all the steps of the C-SEP model to a student referral provided by the presenters. Participants will work in small groups to complete each step of the C-SEP framework. Full group discussions/sharing will occur after each step. Attendees will be able to participate in the webinar in their district via the Zoom link provided to approved participants in professional development records 1 day prior to the workshop.
