Workshop Registration Details

Currently, the K-12 TEKS for social studies are under review. The State Board of Education (SBOE) TEKS review process calls for ESCs to solicit feedback from educators in their regions on the current TEKS and their recommendations for the review, as one of the initial steps in the review. Feedback from the ESC focus groups will be submitted to TEA and provided to the SBOE and future workgroups. During this meeting, participants will respond to a series of questions to collect feedback on the current TEKS. Topics will include the sequence of topics across grade levels, the organization/strand framework of the TEKS, and social studies skills. To prepare for the meeting, participants may wish to review the current standards with these topics in mind in advance.
