Teaching Algebra Through Hands-On! Grades 6-12

We have found ourselves in a generation of students in which a large population needs a hands-on kinesthetic approach to the content. Research states if it is the first time the students have seen the content it must be in the concrete form. If a student has difficulty with a concept go back to the concrete. Our scores across the state show we are failing to solidify the concepts in algebra. Come and join us as we will learn how to use a variety of hands-on approaches to bridge the concrete to the abstract and help our students "get it" and retain it!
