Come one, come all as we set off to explore Parent & Family Engagement. Participants will gain insight on how to ENHANCE their current program, EMPOWER stakeholders, and ELEVATE the capacity of staff and parents. Parent & Family Engagement is everyone’s responsibility! So, whether you are a teacher, campus administrator, counselor, parent liaison, or district administrator, you will find sessions to meet your needs. The day will begin with internationally renowned speaker George Couros. Breakout sessions from programs across the ESC and Region 7 LEAs filled with ideas you can turn around immediately for your campus or district will follow. The day will culminate with a closing general session with insight from TEA Director of Federal Programs Compliance Division Jaime Huerta. Please join us for a fun-filled and informative day at Expedition PFE: Enhance, Empower, Elevate.

Small Groups . . . It's not just for Kids! (We have seen this in action, and it works!) One way to engage parents is through small focus groups. Being part of a group helps parents connect with other parents and is a less intimidating environment in which to share their questions, interests, and concerns. It is also an opportunity for them to help plan parent events and become more involved in their children's education.
