G/T: Grades K - 5: Creating Rigor Through Depth and Complexity

How do teachers increase the academic rigor of their instruction? Join us to learn practical strategies for effectively implementing the eleven depth and complexity thinking tools so all students obtain a more complex understanding of content. Participants will move from the basic knowledge of depth and complexity to a deeper understanding of how this framework can be used to create rigorous differentiated lessons. After studying and identifying the elements incorporated into the TEKS, teachers will explore lesson examples and use the ideas to write lesson plans and create activities for implementation.
