Description

What does the law say? What do I need to do when students in special education misbehave?
Join Cynthia Buechler from Buechler & Associates, P.C., as she shares insights and guidance for addressing discipline issues with special education students.
She will discuss Disciplinary Placements to ISS, OSS, and DAEP that include expulsions, manifestation determination (MDR), functional behavior assessments (FBA), and behavior intervention plans (BIPS). She will also discuss optional flexible school day programs, truancy, and the LEAs actions and responsibilities.
Participants will be able to attend this workshop virtually via the Zoom link provided to approved participants in professional development records 1 day prior to the workshop.
