CPI: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Enhanced Refresher 2022-23

Complete Attendance

This 4-hour workshop is a review of the verbal and nonverbal de-escalation techniques associated with proactively preventing student misbehavior. Participants will also review how to safely manage disruptive and assaultive behaviors by using disengagement and holding techniques.
*Prerequisite: Successful completion of the full-day Crisis Prevention Intervention "Enhanced" training. Participants should wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothing. Participants are encouraged to review the most recent CDC recommendations. The ESC instructor will minimize physical interactions between participants by maintaining designated groups for practicing the holding and restraint techniques. Please be aware that these techniques do not allow for physical distancing.
