STAAR Updates: Preparing New STAAR Item Types with TEKS RS

STAAR 2.0's item types of Short and Extended Constructed Responses are challenging our students in the use of good writing skills to communicate analysis of a text. This session will examine updates the state has given regarding expectations for success and provide participants with instructional strategies that can be immediately used in the classroom to support students. Instructional strategies will also be given for other new item types to support the thinking needed by students for new item types.
