Switch-Adapted Toys and Classroom AT Solutions: Adapting is My Specialty 23-24

Join us as we learn how to adapt toys to make them switch accessible for students with complex access needs, including visual impairments. Switch-adapted toys can improve hand-eye coordination, motor skills, and cause and effect, thus increasing independence and self-determination. We will also explore assistive technology strategies to help students with significant cognitive disabilities with differentiated instruction and social communication. Participants will adapt materials to utilize with students in their classrooms.
