Understanding how behavior is learned and the purpose it serves is critical for educators to prevent and change student behavior. This workshop provides participants with the foundational tools necessary to understand behavior functionally and respond to behavior appropriately. Concepts covered include antecedents, behavior & consequences (ABCs), functions of behavior, and functional-based interventions. This workshop is ideal for paraprofessionals, behavior classroom teachers, new general and special education classroom teachers, administrators, as well as experienced teachers looking to improve their PBIS implementation.
