We will examine the background, rationale, and content of the new 2024-2025 Science TEKS to prepare for the implementation of high-quality K-5 science instruction. Explore the changes to the TEKS, such as the integration of science and engineering practices (SEPs) and recurring themes and concepts (RTCs), and unpack the implications for transitioning and planning classroom instruction to improve student learning outcomes.
