K-12 STEM Computational Thinking and Coding

This computational thinking and coding workshop is an independent follow-up to the K-12 State STEM workshop being held the previous day. In this workshop, participants will learn to integrate the four pillars of computational thinking in STEM. Computational thinking skills are essential to solving problems in multiple disciplines. Teachers will participate in activities to demonstrate decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithm design. We will also explore introductory coding and utilize a variety of student-friendly online coding tools to use in the classroom. Joining us for the day will be a special guest Lockheed programmer who will describe and explain a STEM career in coding.
Please bring your own laptop.
