Bilingual Assessment for Monolingual Evaluators 23-24
The intersection between second language development and specific learning disabilities is often difficult to distinguish for evaluation staff, especially when suspecting language-based disabilities (e.g., Specific Learning Disabilities, Speech-Language). This session will equip the monolingual evaluator with a deeper understanding of second language development, tools, and strategies for assessing this population, and a framework to organize the evaluation. Participants will be able to attend this workshop via the Zoom link provided to paid/approved participants in professional development records 1 day prior to the workshop. TSHA credit is approved.
