Adaptive Physical Education is an individually designed instructional program for students with disabilities based on a comprehensive evaluation. Adapted P.E. gives the student the skills necessary for a quality of life, including leisure, recreation, sports experiences, health, and wellness. This session will instruct teachers, coaches, and paraprofessionals serving people with disabilities to meet the specific physical, emotional, and cognitive needs of all your students in Physical Education classes through active participation, engaging lectures, and group brainstorming.
