The Power of Making Thinking Visible in Social Studies

Visible Thinking is a flexible and systematic research-based conceptual framework, which aims to integrate the development of students' thinking with content learning across subject matters. This session will explore the research of visible thinking to transform student engagement in the classroom. Hands-on activities will provide social studies teachers with opportunities to learn several different thinking routines. This workshop is based on the book "The Power of Making Thinking Visible: Practices to Engage and Empower All Learners" by Ron Ritchhart and Mark Church.
