STAAR Update: Language Comprehension of Science Phenomenon

Science students are overwhelmed with the number of words required for comprehension. With the redesign of STAAR, now more than ever, students need to read informational passages over science content, understand science language, and respond in writing using this language. This workshop will provide methods, resources, and technology tools that you can immediately incorporate into your lesson planning to increase students' language comprehension in science. ******This workshop is located in Lufkin (701 N 1st St, Lufkin, TX 75901). Teachers and administrators from other school districts are welcome to attend.
